Positive: Gorgeous and very spacious 1st floor apartment in a beautiful, historic village with views over Tuscany. The building and most around it originally c. 800 years old. The host was generous (local wine awaited us, helped with laundry), responsive and went above and beyond. Clean and tidy. Wineries, supermarkets, cafés, bars and restaurants all walking distance from the apartment and parking around 50m away for free. Very well located for Florence, Siena, San Gimignano and in the heart of Chianti region.

Negative: It's all terracotta tiled floors, so I'd recommend bringing slippers or similar so you don't get cold feet if staying in winter! One set of stairs up so wouldn't suit those who limited mobility. Otherwise, very hard to fault.

Summary: Perfect Tuscany stay! Historical building with mod cons in a charming medieval village
