Positive: 15 minutes from Gallipoli in Sannicola , located down a quiet back street but 5 minutes from the piazza where we enjoyed an aperitif and a number of restaurants. We had a tiny apartment looking out on the back of another building but with a little patio that caught the morning sun. The bed was comfortable , aircon quiet and shower hot. Two small halogen rings so only practical for coffee not meals but typical of italian apartments. Lovely pool with loungers and chairs , very refreshing. Not easiest place to find without satnav and this got some of the one way streets wrong which was a challenge . Could park on a quiet road above the property. Chiara our host was excellent , she provided loads of info on what to see and do and was very responsive on Whats app to questopns. I speak some italian but her english was good. Particularly enjoyed joining another couple for a cooking class which was great fun and made you realise how hard pasta shape making is. Had lovely meals at il vecchio camino. Loved the peacefulness of the town i. An evening. Good pastry shop and supermarkets within walking distance.

Negative: Nothing , could have stayed longer
