Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The staff was wonderful, helpful and welcoming consistently during our ten day stay. The view was amazing! Breakfast was fabulous. The room was very clean. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

Negative: The lighting switches were a bit confusing as to which lights were turning on multiple lights versus bedside lights. We had a rental car which made it very convenient for us. We found the mirror across the public street not quite helpful in pulling the car out onto the main road. Sometimes we took the bus, and we also walked to town. It’s perfectly great to take the bus or walk if you don’t have small children. Otherwise, you have to cross a little street with some fast moving cars. If you are driving, there is free parking near San Damiano and also closer to the Basilica di San Francesco near Rocco Maggiore just outside the city gate.

Summary: Exceptional place to stay with exceptional staff - we loved it!
