This vacation home is located on a hill above the long sandy beaches of Pescoluse, also called "Maldive del Salento", in a large private olive grove. The views of the sea and the beautiful sunsets are unique from there. The location is particularly quiet and airy and even in midsummer. You can reach the beaches in about three minutes by car. In the area there is no noise as of pizzerias, bars, lines of cars, mopeds and pedestrians which is not so common in Italy near the sea. Pescoluse is situated between Gallipoli and Santa Maria di Leuca, the southernmost point of the boot heel on the Ionian Sea. This small liama has a small typical bedroom, a small bathroom and a partly covered terrace. The bedroom contains a double bed, a built-in wardrobe, SAT-TV and air conditioning that works well also as a dispenser of hot air. The bathroom has a shower, a sink , toilet and bidet. Thanks to solar energy there is a lot of hot water. The liama has WIFI (free). A small door leads to the terrace. This is partly covered and offers a beautiful view of the sea. Under the canopy is the kitchen with a gas stove, microwave, fridge freezer and washing machine. A stone barbecue is also available. There are a table, chairs and sun beds that invite to eat, relax and play .This part of the house is adjacent to the kitchen of our Charming Large Liama. Near the liama is a parking place. The private land is about 8000 square meters. Children and pets can enjoy a lot of freedom. A cot and highchair are available on request for free. On request the owner tries to satisfy other needs of the children if there is a possibility to do so. Pets are welcome and are admitted free of charge. Remember that the liama is an ancient stone building, surrounded by nature, and that consequently it can not have the same characteristics and the same comfort as a modern city apartment. In the beach resort Pescoluse there are beach cafès, restaurants and some small shops. Supermarkets are located about 3 km in Salve and about 5 km in Presicce. You can find in these localities pharmacies, banks, a post office, cafes, restaurants and other shops too. Also in the next resort of Torre Vado, about 1.2 km from Pescoluse, there are a pharmacy, small grocery stores and a fish shop. Behind the beaches begin the olive groves on the hills which also provide a good opportunity for walking and cycling. Even small towns often have a local center with architectural gems. A visit to Santa Maria di Leuca (old mansions), Gallipoli (La Bella - the beautiful), Lecce (baroque town), Otranto is recommended. The Salento, also Salentine peninsula or paragraph referred to Italy, is a subregion of Italy in the southern part of Puglia, between the Ionian Sea to the west and the Adriatic Sea to the east. The inhabitants of this area differ from the rest of the Puglia region due to cultural and linguistic differences. From a historical point of view the Salento was part over several centuries of the ancient Terra d'Otranto. One can find a particular landscape, architecture and gastronomy here. The Salento is of course ideal for a beach holiday in the long summer, but also much more, and not only in summer.
