I recently purchased this charming apartment in Tarquinia's "centro storico" (historic center) and it offers the opportunity to really live like a local. The town is smallish yet not too small. It regularly holds festivals & concerts, has a vibrant restaurant scene, incredible countryside views, an important Etruscan history complete with museum and necropolis - and a beachfront side of town called Tarquinia Lido. All with a train available to Rome and an easy 45 minute drive from the Fiumicino (FCO) Rome airport.
Tarquinia's position offers guests the ability to explore smaller regional gems and get away from the massive tourist crowds. If you've been to Italy before and are looking for a more authentic experience where you can live like a local, then you will fall in love with this comfortable apartment and this beautiful town.
