Its historic centre, of a dazzling and immense white, shows its best with the famous Cathedral that dominates the olive trees plain, the park of the coastal dunes and a crystal clear sea. The narrow alleys are very particular, as well as Piazza della Libertà and S. Oronzo column, that majestically protects the city. Going further north, guests will find Bari, Eastern threshold, meanwhile going south they can explore the Marine protected area of Torre Guaceto, then Brindisi and further Lecce, capital of Barocco.
Taranto, the heart of Magna Grecia (ancient Greece) is west of Ostuni, and then Matera, particularly known for its “Sassi” (ancient cave dwellings) and nominated European capital of culture for 2019.
Brindisi (35 minutes) and Bari (70 minutes) are the closest airports to Ostuni.
