Summary: Basic accommodations at a good price. They have signs up saying something like "come as a guest, leave as family", and this is how I felt. The room was not fancy, but it had what I needed in a great location. A bus to Pizza Venezia stops almost at the front door, and a Rome metro station is just a couple blocks away. Also within a 20 minute walk of Termini (main Rome train station) and Via Veneto (where you can rent a car).
